I'm not talking about what you'll have for breakfast tomorrow or whether you'll take a different route home.
More the direction your life seems to keep pulling you toward.
Most people think the answer is either yes or no.
Either everything is predetermined, or everything is a result of free will.
But from a spiritual perspective, I don't believe it's that simple.
I think this is where fate and destiny become two very different things.
Most people think of destiny as something outside themselves.
A career they are meant to have; a purpose they are meant to discover; a relationship they are meant to find.
But I see destiny differently.
My spiritual healing work has taught me that destiny is not a place, a job or a person.
Destiny is who your soul has the capacity to become.
It is the fullest expression of what already lives within you.
And in that sense, your destiny already exists.
Your soul knows what it came here to flower into.
It carries the blueprint of that potential within it.
If destiny is already present within the soul, an obvious question follows.
Why do some people seem to grow into themselves while others spend a lifetime feeling disconnected from who they truly are?
Because destiny and fate are not the same thing.
Fate is the path you take through life.
It is shaped by your choices, your willingness, your awareness, and your response to what life places in front of you.
Fate is what happens when life challenges you to grow and you either move toward that growth or away from it.
It is how often you listen to yourself.
How often you trust what you know deep down.
How often you become distracted by fear, doubt, conditioning, or the endless noise of the world around you.
Because destiny may be the destination.
But fate is the journey.
And while your soul may know what it came here to become, you still have to participate in that becoming.
You still have to choose.
You still have to return to yourself, again and again, whenever life pulls you away.
Perhaps the destination is.
But the journey is still yours to walk.
